man it sounds like total psychedelic gibberish.
not that that's a bad thing at all. one of my loves.
although it stimulates mystery,
the truth you bring forward
only brings me more questions
and I suppose that is the point if pointing towards me, the monkey.
What is the truth? who made them? why?
Factories can make them. Did aliens make them?
I feel aliens.
Never seen one.

Re: Crystal skulls,
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 9:06 AMSkullduggery, Indiana Jones? Museum says crystal skull not Aztec
news.yahoo.com/s/afp/2008...ajonesskull
"One of only a dozen such skulls known to exist worldwide, the Quai Branly museum's piece was acquired in 1878 from an Indiana Jones-type explorer, Alphonse Pinart, as an Aztec masterpiece believed to be hundreds of years old, the remnant of an ancient and mysterious civilisation.
"But in a statement Friday the museum admitted the skull, rather than dating from the Aztec period, was probably made in the 19th century...
"C2RMF engineers Thomas Calligaro and Yvan Coquinot told AFP that three months of analysis of the skull highlighted that the piece 'is certainly not pre-Columbian, it shows traces of polishing and abrasion by modern tools.'
"Analysis by a particle accelerator had also shown traces of water dating from the 19th century, they said.
"Like the London skull, the Paris piece was once in the hands of Eugene Boban, a controversial Paris dealer in archaeological objects believed to be well aware of the production of fake antiquities.
"But though no crystal skull yet found at archaeological digs has proved to be authentic, the 12 located around the world continue to arouse interest and speculation."

I imagine that polishing marks could have been made after it was 'created'. The particle accellerator test sounds pretty convincing. Post 19th century?
Are there real crystal skulls? I mean authentically in the sense they they are ancient and made by methods unknown, i'm sure i've heard that? How disappointing.
BUT just because people dont know about one, that doesnt necessarily mean one couldnt exist either.
I had heard that they could possibly contain informating, using crystals for data storing is pretty fascinating.

Wed, April 23, 2008 - 9:53 PMYeah, Hoopes, sort of like jesus...
Allow me to tangent a minute on faith:
Fundamentally speaking, faith is all that we really have...
all truths are personal and all experiances are our own. All of our ideas, our thoughts, the interactions we have with others, external stimuli, etc.. all this and more make up our reality, its ALL the human experiance. Who are we to trivialize that which cant be authenticated.
To the psyche its all real, or maybe its a dream, anyways, its all the same, or are we going to insist that things bee trapped in the three dee. -

Well, "fundamentally speaking," I think that might be true (for fundamentalists).
I've always navigated the hazardous waters of perception using more reality checks than are provided by faith alone.

Re: Crystal skulls,
Thu, July 10, 2008 - 3:06 PMYet another recent article on crystal skulls:
Crystal skulls: Fact or Fiction?
ap.google.com/article/ALe...pFQD91QHQUO4
"Crystals carved into the shape of a human skull fed the 19th century's need for drama and mystery and its fascination with death. They were supposed to be the creation of ancient Mesoamericans — Aztecs, Mixtecs, Toltecs, perhaps Maya.
"The skulls were claimed to represent the art and religion of these peoples. Some even said the skulls had special, even supernatural, powers.
"Scientists say it ain't so.
"Nonetheless, the giant crystal skull that mysteriously arrived at the Smithsonian 16 years ago is out of its locked cabinet in Walsh's office and will be on public view until Sept. 1."
