Think about it. All the sufferance of the world is a product of self preservation. Entire societies revolving around productivity in order to maintain progress which is a state of self preservation that is destroying the planet. We say ego but I feel that it doesn't have the depth of meaning that self preservation has upon most perspectives. Its my belief that identity is the cause of self preservation, which is the means by which we define ourselves, that is causing this disease. I also feel that to loose ourselves would be a great transformation in consciousness and perhaps what 2012 is all about. A sort of instant enlightenment. I don't know all the details of how this reality has been so far removed from the rest of creation. That information seems to be beyond my present understanding but I can understand that to lift the veil on human consciousness would be to remove the limitations on your expression and identity so that you could then be yourself as you are now or be awareness itself. The real mind boggler then is how choices are made if there are no limitations.

Re: Self Preservation is a Disease
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 10:10 PMWe are killing ourselves... just more slowly than a bullet. Its all part of a natural process of balance for life on this planet. Unfortunately the human expression is not easily balanced by viruses or other calamities on earth because humans are not entirely compatible with the planet. Because of this I do believe that the Sun will help earth balance things here for the sake of life. Everything we do as humans is for the sake of ourselves. The sake of our identities. This has been a fun experiment but it is at an end. It is unfortunate that we could not change our priorities in time to avoid any calamity. I can sense the enormous amount of self preservation in our world leaders as they dig under ground bunkers and construct fema camps. They even wish to maintain there profits until the very end. They, just like everyone else, have a feeling that they can not change the future which is unfortunate in itself. If they truly want to discover where they made mistakes then they should look to those who gave them ability to see the future in the first place. -
