Having now watched that video... Bah... crap. IMHO...

You can in fact use Predictions to Make Prophecy... As the Mayans did... As there is an Astrological Prophecy... That goes with every day possible... Though Some could Argue it is an Astrological Prediction... That is in fact very contrary to what modern people believe(not that it matters)...

I got to say hoopes i havnt really looked into this much, but this really does underline what you say about taking a lot of what the pundits are saying about 2012 with a very large pinch of salt, I am particulary suspicous of Dainel P. However this seems very much a fault of some "westernes" misinterprinting Mayan stuff, rather than the Mayans themselves.

According to Carl Calleman Don ALejandro Oxiaj, head of the council of elders of the Maya has refuted the end date of December 21, 2012 anyway. So we have a situation where someone like Daniel P is runing around telling everyone the Mayans are telling us the world is gonig to end on 2012 when the Mayans themselves are saying they arnt saying any such thing !

Callerman himself rekons there is a corection and the real date is Oct 2011, but 2012 will be when we see a lot of the changes occur -

I particularly like what Callerman says about understanding the Mayans were talking about evolution of conciousness and that to foucs on a date, one point in time, is really to go against the flow of what they are talking about - evolution.

I myself feel too many people are trying to be exprets and talking in precise terms when infact there isnt that much precision to this. Its not about precision, its about understanding extremely complex, extremly fluid changes to the vast matrix of 6 billion people and our entire planet. Its about as much about precision as waves on the ocean, the finding a smooth way out could be about precison in the sense that a surfer must have very good balance to ride the waves, and the bigger wave, the bigger balance required ! This wave is very big i belive.

The year 2012 was not brought up but the completion year of 2025 was. Now 2025 as an end date to lots of big changes that could start around 2011 - 12 (of course in terms of evolution they have already started, and always were started) sounds far more plausible to me than a fixation on one specific time.

This is because i have always said we should look at the mundane practicle world and the changes going on it to see if they match what people like the Mayan and Hopi are saying.

They do, most definatly. I cant think of three people who have a better birds eye view on practicle global problems than Jeffry Sachs special advisor to the UN and the principle person behind the millenium goals. ex vic predisent of the world bank and auther or "high noon 20 global problems and twenty years to solve them" and then James Martin, IT billionaire, technology genuis, and founder of the James Martin institute which seeks to bring the worlds best academics together to develop ideas that will help ensure a better future for mankind.

These three people are a million miles away from the worlds of Daniel P, they deal in hard reality, and yet are unfettered by poltical constraints, short term politcal ambitions, or commercial pressures as many in the worlds of polotics, media, or business are.

All three of these people belive we are aproaching a very special time, a time of climax for humanity, a great crux. James Martin belives this century is the biggest point in time in lifes evolution in our solar system since the single cell first developed around 4 billion years ago.

From what i know of the big changes coming about that i have read from all of these three peoples work, 2011 - 12 sounds spot on as to the timing as when the world will become painfully aware of the critical nature of these changes. Of course this is a gradual ongoing thing, with climate change and shortening resources already accelerating awarness amongst the masses. But people are not aware of just how critical these issues, combined, global are. J F Rischard, Jeffry Sachs and James Martin are already very aware of this.

My own prediction is by around 2012 the world will be acutely aware, and there will develop by then a great urgency about change. Events such as economic troubles etc, and maybe a climate change related disaster such as Hurrican Kahtrina may bring this into sharper focus.

But what that woman said, apartantly way before trendy Daniel P in New York was talking about 2012, that the end of great changes would be about 2025, that fits perfectly. Because basicly we have untill about 2025 to implement major change, enormous structural changes to how the world works econmicaly, industrialy and culturaly by that time. Thats our global deadline.

This is not esoteric stuff. There is no choice to dramtic practicle changes. Population is set to increase 30%, developing countries econmies will double or tripple, the planet cannot go on like this, thats just fact. ALready we are living unsustainbly on this planet, our oceans, soil and air are filling rapidly with toxins. To contenplate a world with double the current economic activity is to envisage complete breakdown. Even if Bush wanted it so, and he was in power forever, it cannont happen. It just does not fit into the planet we are on Business as usual is not possible. change is very predestined in that way.

But solutions are very possible. We are only talking about a restructure that will cost around 3% of global GDP, but the restructre will be a huge upheavel for a global market that certainly since the days of Regan and Thatcher, have been living with the free market as a God. We serve the market, not the market serves us. To reverse that equation is going to take a hell of a lot. Well it has to happen, there is no choice.

The spirtual/emotional changes that people in this tribe are more focused on will mirror the practicle changes, they always have.

Thought I would share this. I have no way of knowing if this is actually true.

But a while ago while deeply meditating, I heard a voice say something along the lines of >> the earth will come to a stop and reverse, or the poles will reverse.

This might not even be 2012, but have any of you heard of a reversal like this?
