Re: another theory they had wrong
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 11:59 AMBefore concluding that "they" got it wrong and this guy got it right, it would be worthwhile to apply some critical thinking. For me, the link to a study of Atlantis and the weight loss ads are big red flags. -

how about the links Tribe/Google provides next to the topics you have posted, would they lower your credibility ? -

Re: another theory they had wrong
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 12:04 PMAlways consider the intuitive appeal of the metanarrative that "they" (scientific authorities, the gummint, etc.) are "wrong" and the possibility that this is the *real* message packaged in whatever wrapper will sell it. -

Re: another theory they had wrong
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 12:41 PMThanks for tyet another critical thinking reminder J. It was I who titled it right and wrong, ...after my critical thinking process. Forgive me...
Right and wrong is always debatable even when proven. Time changes All, maybe even the Laws of Nature (for all we know) This theory builds on past theory and adds some new science to the equation, giving a fresh breeze to consider. I find this more real than a closed box of science dogma. New, as opposed to outdated theories continue to surface given our exploding exploration. That is Living Science, an art at it's best. This particular one makes a lot of sense to me no matter what ads the PTB want to string it up with. If you can open your window and allow fresh discoveries to stimulate your wonder and thinking process without fear of inadequate footnotes and references you will feel Awe along with the skepticism.

Re: another theory they had wrong
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 12:28 PMSorry, can't blind me with science with this one. This makes as much sense as the galactic pulse. Besides Atlantis (the island) isn't a mystery. It's located at 34deg 55'50.78"N by 11deg 54'37.15"W in very deep water. -

Wed, October 28, 2009 - 1:57 PMSorry but I just had to go there Gerard (grin)...

The only hit that I could find on these cordinates came from you on another tribe... But it is an interesting subject matter you all were discussing and I do believe that there is actualy proof of Exodus now... The Isrealites and some Greeks were slaves in I think it to be copper mines of some type of mines over in Egypt... They have found writings on the walls in ancient mines in the type of text the Israelites used back then and there were writings about them being in bondage in those mines... I'll have to find a link but I've seen something on this before where they have actually found proof of the Exodus now. But I still haven't seen any proof of Atlantis but I wouldn't say that it never existed...

Re: another theory they had wrong
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 2:15 PMthere's a cratery thing north east of
34 55'50.78"N 11 54'37.15"W
if you punch it into google earth or maps.google.com
but there's a few around that area. but yeah, I don't know of any other reports that suggest a sunken city there. it's a bit too far off shore to be Tartessos
