Yesterday I watched the Project HAARP video. I posted the link yesterday on Star's global warming of the solar system topic.
The documentary is very excellent in my opinion and I was impressed by "biophysicist" Dr. Beverly Rubik. So I just did an I.S.I. web of science search -- she's doing some wild research:
Title: In vitro effect of Reiki treatment on bacterial cultures: Role of experimental context and practitioner well-being

Abstract: Objective: To measure effects of Reiki treatments on growth of heat-shocked bacteria, and to determine the influence of healing context and practitioner well-being.
Methods: Overnight cultures of Escherichia coli K12 in fresh medium were used. Culture samples were paired with controls to minimize any ordering effects. Samples were heat-shocked prior to Reiki treatment, which was performed by Reiki practitioners for up to 15 minutes, with untreated controls. Plate-count assay using an automated colony counter determined the number of viable bacteria. Fourteen Reiki practitioners each completed 3 runs (n = 42 runs) without healing context, and another 2 runs (n = 28 runs) in which they first treated a pain patient for 30 minutes (healing context). Well-being questionnaires were administered to practitioners pre-post all sessions.
Results: No overall difference was found between the Reiki and control plates in the nonhealing context. In the healing context, the Reiki treated cultures overall exhibited significantly more bacteria than controls (p < 0.05). Practitioner social (p < 0.013) and emotional well-being (p < 0.021) correlated with Reiki treatment outcome on bacterial cultures in the nonhealing context. Practitioner social (p < 0.031), physical (p < 0.030), and emotional (p < 0.026) well-being correlated with Reiki treatment outcome on the bacterial cultures in the healing context. For practitioners starting with diminished well-being, control counts were likely to be higher than Reiki-treated bacterial counts. For practitioners starting with a higher level of well-being, Reiki counts were likely to be higher than control counts.
Conclusions: Reiki improved growth of heat-shocked bacterial cultures in a healing context. The initial level of well-being of the Reiki practitioners correlates with the outcome of Reiki on bacterial culture growth and is key to the results obtained.

Re: Dr. Beverly Rubik and Project HAARP
Tue, June 27, 2006 - 8:55 AMThis paper provides the foundation for her experiments and appears to be similar to Rupert Sheldrake's morphogenesis hypothesis.
But in regards to Project Haarp -- the focus is on ionized hydrogen -- plasma weapons and plasma shields to protect earth from comets, plasma energy and transforming the whole planet into plasma!!
Another great source for this bioelectric field is astronomy professor emeritus Seymour Percy's work .
The key again is a new process in physics called "autoionization" which allows violation of Wolgang Pauli's "exclusion principle" so that previously "forbidden transistions" in energy transformation can occur.
Autoionization (ionizing energy) relies on the same thing Tesla used -- asymmetrical sine-wave energy.

Abstract: This paper provides a scientific foundation for the biofield: the complex, extremely weak electromagnetic field of the organism hypothesized to involve electromagnetic bioinformation for regulating homeodynamics. The biofield is a useful construct consistent with bioelectromagnetics and the physics of nonlinear, dynamical, nonequilibrium living systems. It offers a unifying hypothesis to explain the interaction of objects or fields with the organism, and is especially useful toward understanding the scientific basis of energy medicine, including acupuncture, biofield therapies, bioelectromagnetic therapies, and homeopathy. The rapid signal propagation of electromagnetic fields comprising the biofield as well as its holistic properties may account for the rapid, holistic effects of certain alternative and complementary medical interventions.

Re: Dr. Beverly Rubik and Project HAARP
Tue, June 27, 2006 - 9:03 AMThis technology is promoted by the medical doctor who studied under Muktananda (the sex-crazed full-lotus yogi). The doctor's name slips me but he's published a book on "the rainbow diet" and has some new age spa in Cali. I think that's the same company -- anyway I bought on of these "free energy" tachyon disks to put on the back of the computer -- it's supposed to counteract electromagnetic pollution (which is a very serious problem). I think it worked because I could sense a field coming out of it but I've found that qigong is more effective.

Abstract: Sympathetic Resonance Technology(TM) (SRT; Clarus Products, International, L.L.C., San Rafael, CA) is a novel technology used in consumer health care products to protect humans from the potentially harmful effects of stress. A summary of the previously unpublished studies on SRT, both basic and clinical, is presented. These studies collectively show that SRT mitigates the stress response for a variety of stressors such as chemical and electromagnetic stress in various biologic systems and multiple levels of organization, ranging from the molecular to the behavioral. A rudimentary model of how SRT may work at the level of the biofield, the endogenous electromagnetic field of the organism, is proposed. By interacting with key component frequencies in the biofield, SRT may stabilize the organism homeodynamically, thereby protecting it from the effects of stressful stimuli.
