I believe we can also generate the same effects of a 'heightened state' and clear our mind of clutter effecting our Electromagnetic body in a positive way, without having to wear metal helmets on our head and be hooked up to a machine. :-)
When we produce sounds from our own mouth, creating 'wave forms' that enhance our spirit to become happy and connected to feelings of joy, we can help to stabailze our equilibrium just as deeply as being hooked up to a machine that will do it for us. Intonations, toning and dancing like the sufis swirl in a continual pattern exciting our feelings, thoughts and emotions to "love", can generate the same states. Sound is vibration. All and every part of our body, every atom, every particle is vibrating at a certain wave length and frequency....all life Creation and its hosts are merely sound waves, light waves.
I am very open to the study of EM frequency. It is a subject I find extreemly interesting. It brings me deeper into the knowledge and reality of how everything is effected by sound and waves. How it is SO true that one wave of a butterfly wing can change the course of life forever. :-)
But I am NOT at all happy with the fact that, in opposotion to creating joyous, balanced, heightened states in humans, there have been top scientists and psychotronics experts utilizing this technology of ELF waves to a disadvantage to most people. These waves are being emitted frequently in and around this planet (via Star WARS, HAARP etc) and is sadly interfereing with our Amagdalas, Pineal and Hypothalamus. Thus the high rise of mental illness, depression and schizophrenia creating a viscious circle and feedback loop of intereference. (In turn feeding the Corporate Pharmecutical Department on a Trillion dollar grand scale - and this corporation is now more than ever protected by new Laws that Bush administration have recently allowed to pass).
Sound vibration is healing. There really is something to sitting around and toning/chanting. We can heal ourselves with proper knowledge of diet, care and intoning beauitful vibration thru our thoughts and our words.

In 1967, Hans Jenny, a Swiss doctor and artist, published a book called, “Kymatik -Wellen und Schwingungen mit ihrer Struktur und Dynamik/ Cymatics - The Structure and Dynamics of Waves and Vibrations”. Jenny made use of crystal oscillators and an invention of his own by the name of the Tonoscopes to set these plates and membranes vibrating. The advantage with crystal oscillators is that one can determine exactly which frequency and amplitude/volume one wants. It has been proven possible to research and follow a continuous train of events in which one had the possibility of changing the frequency or the amplitude or both. The “Tonoscope” was constructed to make the human voice visible without any electronic apparatus as an intermediate link. This yielded the amazing possibility of being able to see the physical image of the vowel, tone or song a human being produced directly. Not only could you hear a melody - you could see it, too!
He discovered that if he vibrated a plate at a specific frequency and amplitude - vibration - the shapes and motion patterns characteristic of that vibration appeared in the material on the plate. If he changed the frequency or amplitude, the development and pattern were changed as well. He found that if he increased the frequency, the complexity of the patterns increased, the number of elements became greater. (<<<<<<This I believe is whats behind the Crop Circle phenomenon)
In his research with the Tonoscope, Jenny noticed that when the vowels of the ancient languages of Hebrew and Sanskrit were pronounced, the sand took the shape of the written symbols for these vowels, while our modern languages, notably, did not generate the same result. Amazing eh? There really is something to the concept of "sacred language," which both of these are sometimes called. The "sacred languages," among which Tibetan, Egyptian and Chinese are often numbered, are deep and expressive. I believe they have the power to influence and transform physical reality, to create things through their inherent power, and, through the invocation or singing of sacred texts, can heal a person who has gone "out of tune".
If we are confused, chaotic or ill-at-ease, we have gone “out of tune” so to speak. We have the ability to "tune our selves up" though, we really do. Freely. I believe and trust in the knowledge that we are the creators of our own Universe, and whatever we speak, think or feel, we are attracting to us. An idea and outside influence can be unnaturally placed within our thought field, but it’s up to us to feed that thought and create it, or not. It’s important to understand this at a deep level.
I believe that God is "Love". We are all created from love; the force of attraction. There is no need to fear when you understand the eternal, powerful Nature of who you are. You are an incredible, exquisite, divine creation of Universal Order in the form of a human being, Soul. You are a creation of God; the absolute attraction of Cosmic Principle capable of creating and exercising the same miracles we read about thru avatars and mystic like Jesus, Buddha, Isis, Mary, Enoch, Krishna, Viracocha, Manitou, etc…. This divine wisdom, for too long, has been hidden from us. Know this: There is no demon or dark force in this Universe that we need to fear if we understand and know the great power we hold within our own self; right here, freely, in our mind/body/soul. We are beautiful bodies existing on Earth co-creating, created to house our vast Spirit; the soul of God; lifeforce; Love.
We don't need to be walking around wearing metal helmets, or sitting in institutions attached to chords, when we can wear our "love" and shield ourselves with our own divine 'word' recieving power from nature and all that is contained therein.
I believe there is power in the 'word', and if our word/thoughts are mainly love, then we will be enjoying our life to the maximum of our ability.
What an amazing thing it is that we are all light force, waves created and shaping ourselves according to our feelings and minds held together by the intrinsic force of attraction; of love.
