Thursday May 22 at Sophia Healing Center located in the Lower Haight, Dovid Krafchow will make a presentation from 7:30 to 9:00 concerning the nature of time and the meaning of the date 2012; in four years the end of the 5000 year Mayan calendar will intersect with the 6000 year Hebrew calendar. I'm curious to know how you figure that. The ancient Maya recorded dates well past the 13 baktun "end date", suggesting that it marks the end of a cycle, but not the end of the calendar.
Are you rounding to get the figures of 5000 and 6000?
Given that a baktun is 144,000 days long:
13 baktuns = 1,872,000 days = 5125.366 years (based on a solar year of 365.2422 days)
However, 13 baktuns also represented 5 X 20 X 52 X 360 days or 20 X 260 X 360 days. These numbers are all significant, since 4 X 13 = 52 (also the number of years that 260 days permute against 365 days) and 13 X 20 = 260 (the number of days in the sacred tzolkin). 20 days in 18 months plus a series of five days gave the 365-day year, but the Maya calendar was referred to as the "Count of Days" with "Bundles of Years" in 52-year sets.
The ancient Maya were more concerned with sets and cycles of *days*, rather than *years*. Is this also true of the Hebrew calendar? -

i know there are great mysteries woven into the CQKabalaH and I am only newly acquianted with it,
but there is something to this....I'm sure you already know of the interconnections of
Terrance McKenna's TimeWave Zero Theory and the I-Ching Coordinates.....
many other native peoples have seen this shift-end-change-transformation coming for a long time....
now even scientists are acknowledging something coming.....

Mon, May 12, 2008 - 12:20 PMAlso the Hebrew calendar is based on cycles, but one of them is the 6000 year Hebrew calendar which end 228 years later is not precise because a 13th month is added ever few years to keep the holidays in their seasons; the Mayan calendar is also not precise because the orbs in the sky is slightly skewed--the result being th opportunity for freedom of choice to change the universe. The intersections between the Mayan and Hebrew calendars hold secrets as to the meaning of these dates. I hope to see you at my event may 22.
