lol!!..take it easy there, I'm not trying to be sensational or making it into a euro vs. yank spin. There are lame and prude people in eroupe as well. I was just remembering the whole incident and it reminded me of this post here, where people take things way too serious .That's all. You are reading way too much into it and projecting a lot about what you think my intentions are. Maybe you should check yourself what it is in you that disturbs you in that image or what it is that makes it tastesless according to your beliefs? Just a suggestion, no offense.
You give meaning to it. Not I or the image. The image is just an image. You read into it whatever you want. To me it looks like Jesus and Christ are having a blast. Is it wrong because it's homosexual or sex is bad? What is tasteless/wrong about that? Maybe we should look into the topic of sex and religion and how dogmatic religions have done their best to supress sexuality and turn it into something "bad", "dirty" and "tasteless"?
That was also the whole point of the Hicks quote. People read meanings into symbols/things and give it meaning according to their belief systems, which are not even their own, but were/are conditioned into them.
Some people laugh about it, some find it tasteless, infantile, some get offended and some couldn't care less.
Now who is the judge of what it is? Who is the "I" that divides likes and dislikes, tastefull and tasteless?
Let's go a bit deeper with ti all and we may come to some revelations. There is opportunity to learn from everything.
