  • is it expensive?
    • Yeah, this Tuva fella has made a mistake.
AumRak is Guatemalan, grew up next to Kaminaljuyu (Olmec), has been working and studying with Maya teachers and masters for decades, lives by Atitlan, does alot of healing, ceremony and inspiration, and is widely respected by Guatemalan Mayan people, but is not Maya.

But before the boring 'liberals' further disrespect a woman far more gifted and heart centred than they are, it will be appropriate to point out that unless they actually know AumRak or have met her enough to speak with any authority, then they would do best to shut-up!
      • if you're after respect for yourself or a 3rd party you might try starting by offering some... ;)

otherwise the interesting 'conservatives' and their gifted heart centred pals might do best to accept other people's right to comment... hahaha
        • thank you ! here is my responce to the ignorance

AumRak's heritage is of part , significantly , Maya... Mistakes are through assumption of ignorance my friend. bless you all....
if you need to clarify with her yourself. her website is www.aumrak.com. the mediation is available , for now, on a donation basis.
i have worked with AumRak personally on and off since 2002, including being with her in her homeland in guatemala and with respected elders from various Maya Tribes and Communities including various on the Maya High Council of Elders, whom just received their representation in Guatemalan Government.. maybe next time unstead of spewing verbal vomit, you would kindly confer with , ME..... thanks for your "concern"... Mr Psi.. your VERY distant negative energy seems to have a deep emotional source... i HIGHLY recommend the meditation for you. Blessings to you all in the name of Peace and Enlightenment...
          • "the Maya High Council of Elders, whom just received their representation in Guatemalan Government"

Are you referring to Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj? "Itinerant Ambassador of the Indigenous Pueblos Mayas, Xinca and Garifuna of Guatemala. and President of the National Council of Elders Mayas, Xinca and Garifuna"? He seems to have had some heavy New Age influence himself. Just how is this constituted? Who does it represent and how?

Here's what Don Alejandro had to say to Aluna Joy about ETs:

"Question: My question is about extra-terrestrials and what the Mayan think about them.

Don A: The members of the council of elders, we have come to realize that there are 3 different types of extra-terrestrials. 1) There are our ancestors, and they come from the constellations of stars, because there is life up there. They come to land on pyramids or volcanoes or the bottom of lakes, and these are our ancestors. 2) There is another type that they are beings from other planets. They come here to Earth. Just like from here they go the moon, or they go to investigate other planets. It is the same. They come here too, and maybe they are even more advanced than us. They could come from Jupiter, but most likely they come from the Pleiades. 3) The 3rd kind are from here, from our own land, from different countries. They are more like spies. They could be from Russia, from the United States, and different countries. The Elders of the Council when they want to find things, they go into session. But the way that they do it, each one takes a place separate from each other. And then each one of them in their own space, go into meditation ... deep, deep meditation, and then they receive all of this knowledge. Then they come together, and they all say what they have seen. Then if everybody sees the same thing, then they say that this is what it is. Thank you."

      • "AumRak is Guatemalan, grew up next to Kaminaljuyu (Olmec)"

AumRak doesn't sound much like either a Mayan or a Spanish name. On Facebook, she uses the name Aumrak Sapper, which suggests German ancestry. (There was German explorer named Karl Sapper who visited and wrote about highland Guatemala in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I'm curious to know if she's related.)

While there are some Middle Formative monuments at KJ, it is not at all clear that Kaminaljuyu is an "Olmec" site. It was apparently Maya for most of its occupation, which peaked in the Late Preclassic (ca. 500 BC - AD 200) and the Early Classic (AD 200-600) periods, but with possible Teotihuacan (central Mexican) presence and influence.

The ruins that have survived of KJ (a site heavily impacted by development) are located in Guatemala City, the capital of Guatemala, so just about anyone who grew up there can claim that they grew up "next to Kaminaljuyu."

"... unless they actually know AumRak or have met her enough to speak with any authority, then they would do best to shut-up!"

Do you think people who don't actually know or have met him should also "shut up" about James Arthur Ray? That attitude precludes discussion about a lot of people, including Barack Obama...
        • Amazing to see any comparison of AumRak with James Ray (responsible for 2 deaths and many injuries while pretending to know about First Nations practice) or Obama (who is increasing bombing of civilians, is helping to destroy the US economy, is stealing billlions from US tax-payers to reward corruption, whose mentors advocate mass global population reduction while creating a false pandemic and laws to force untested vaccination, etc etc).
So is the suggestion that a peaceful kind and loving woman, who was born and raised in a house over the road next to Kaminaljuyu (I know the house), who does only healing of people, who has indeed worked with Maya masters for decades, is comparable to known criminals? Quite an assertion from an Obama supporter and major debunker!

Like I said you should shut-up because you are a rude little man who does not know what you are talking about!
          • "Amazing to see any comparison..."

Amazing to see how quick you are to totally miss my point, which is that it is absurd to claim that someone should "shut up" if they're tempted to criticize someone they haven't met. You claim that James Ray (who may have been responsible for *three* deaths) was "pretending" to know something about First Nations practice. How do you know that? Do you "actually know" or have you met him so that you can speak with authority?

"you should shut-up because you are a rude little man who does not know what you are talking about!"

And you should shut up because you're a pompous asshole.

Yet again, a worthwhile discussion disintegrates into ad hominems...

            • You very wrongly compared AumRak with James Ray and Obama. You know exactly what you were doing and yet defend it!
Anyone who charges vast sums for 'sweat lodge' is a cheat and is pretending to know about First Nations and their traditions. Anyone who causes the deaths of 3 people and injuries to many others, as a direct result of their presumption to know about First Nations and their traditions is liar and a cheat. The statement by Arvol Looking Horse is enough to indicate how serious is the crime of James Ray. Ray is using cultural imperialism and extreme capitalism to benefit from traditions that he has no authority to use. If he had any authority he would have not charged what he did. So talk about "missing the point"!

If you had not compared AumRak to Ray and Obama in your final comment I would have responded quite differently. When I saw a personal friend of mine insulted by ignorant people I defended her.
Few people do even half of what AumRak has done for her community, for Mayan people, for the collective benefit. She deserves respect!
              • You're wrong. I didn't wrongly compare AumRack with James Ray and Obama at all.

                What you wrote was:

"But before the boring 'liberals' further disrespect a woman far more gifted and heart centred than they are, it will be appropriate to point out that unless they actually know AumRak or have met her enough to speak with any authority, then they would do best to shut-up."

                What I wrote was:

"Do you think people who don't actually know or have met him should also 'shut up' about James Arthur Ray? That attitude precludes discussion about a lot of people, including Barack Obama..."

Then, having said people should "shut-up" unless they actually know or have met the person they are criticizing, you go on about how anyone like James Arthur Ray is a "liar and a cheat." Here are some remarks from someone who says he "actually knows" Ray:

                "I worked for James Ray.
I was his right hand man and he taught me a lot.
Most of you have no idea what you're talking about.
                He's a good man.
                He made a mistake.
He will own up to it.
This is a hard...a damn hard thing to deal with.
James really wanted to help people...and now...2, possibly 3 are dead.
                It's a heavy thing.
And some of you people sound so smug with your BS comments.
This guy helped hundreds of thousands of people.
                I was there.
I saw what he could do first hand.
We traveled all over the USA and people really love James.
You don't know him or his background.
After a while I just had to quit.
It's not in me to do what he did.
I'm not saying that what he does is wrong...it's just grew tiresome for me.
                I wanted to do stand-up.
                And I did.
I was nearing semi-fame (hosting New Years eve with Bobby Lee, Pauly Shore, etc...doing the Fox News, about to have a 30 minute Comedy Central Special) but I self-sabotaged and ran from fame.
It's a damn hard thing to handle.
One day you're a barista at Starbucks and then the next you're signing contracts with networks.
You're walking a tight rope and if you fall...everyone scrutinizes you.
James Ray isn't a bad guy. He meant well.

                He's a good man.
                Peace to all you.

I don't think that's so different from what you're saying about AumRak, who apparently claims to be a "Maya shamaness" when she's not.

You say, "Ray is using cultural imperialism and extreme capitalism to benefit from traditions that he has no authority to use."

AumRak is not? How much does she charge for a workshop?

"AumRak is an internationally acclaimed public speaker, curandera, transpersonal psychotherapist, and High Priestess of Melchisedek who works widely throughout North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe. She has developed diverse artistic shamanic tecniques to reconnect the hidden pathways within, to lead us to a healthy, balanced, clear path in our lives. And trascen-dance."

any one who call him/herself a High Priestess of Melchisedek is doing some serious misrepresentation by making a claim that can not be backed

plus ... she looks very much like a White Woman not an Indigenous Mayan Woman ... where was she born ? who educated her ?

<maybe next time unstead of spewing verbal vomit, you would kindly confer with , ME>

that does not sound too elevated ...
