Similar to the jellyfish CC of May 29th, Roundway Hill 10th of May, the dragonfly of Yatesbury June 3rd, and the Phoenix of June the 12th, this CC seems to suggest solar activity and associated effect on the Earth's magnetosphere. Each crop circle seems to suggest the sun and the shape of the magnetosphere.

After the jellyfish of May 29th, the sun became more active after a relative period of quiet (absence of sunspots, flares, Coronal mass ejections). On the 31st of May the sun started to emit low level flares up until June 3rd. It was during this time that a French plane fell out of the sky in a location known to be present a magnetic anomaly in the earth's magnetic field.

After the dragonfly of Yatesbury June 4th, flares occurred again on June 6, and June 22, all having a substantial effect on the earth's magnetosphere both at the time of the flares and for a few days after (as solar radiation can take up to 4 days to reach the Earth, depending on class/type of flare/ejection).

Each circle seems to have pre-empted solar activity and it's impact on the Earth's magnetic field. Everyone's interpretation of the CC is personal and unique, but for myself I am convinced that the makers of the CC have knowledge of future solar activity and how that activity may effect the Earth.

In this CC the largest circle may indicate the sun with a coronal hole currently present on the top. I am hesitant to make predictions, but each following circle may indicate a day, with the sixth day (July 1 - six days after CC appearance) indicating greater flux in the earth's magnetosphere. The power line over the CC hints at our electronics on Earth being effected.

Never the less, even if this prediction proves inaccurate, a careful look at the data will reveal increased solar activity and resultant magnetic flux in the Earth's magnetic field, so it is very interesting that the CC of late may be displaying the sun and magnetosphere of the Earth.

Magnetic shifts don't down airliners. Altitude is calculated by the same aneroid principle that governs barometers and Leslie's and my poor sinuses. Air pressure. There's something real fishy about this story and I hope another beloved career aviator of our acquaintance will lend his opinion here.

You are very likely right. Composites are "strong" and "light" but the methods for fastening are still relatively primitive. It's the same issue with the Space Shuttle. The ceramic heat tiles can endure reentry, but the adhesive is a weak point.
