Re: History Channel Docu Series - Searching for Expertstopic
Fri, November 6, 2009 - 4:05 PM"Investigators must also be genuinely curious as to why there are predictions in nearly every culture that the world will end in 2012."
Um....this begs the question: Can you (or anyone) name one culture (other than our own) that believes "the world will end in 2012"? I don't know of ANY...and I have been researching this fairly extensively.
Why is the History Channel producing SO MANY 2012 "shows" (I would hesitate to call them documentaries)? The obvious answer is to make money.....is there any other reason? They just keep cranking them out! -

Re: History Channel Docu Series - Searching for Expertstopic
Fri, November 6, 2009 - 9:48 PMMost of the research I have done on these tribes shows that they believe something is going to change but they don't believe that the world is going to end. On top of that these tribes have not inflated there egos as much as the western capitalist society has. In such a society the preservation of the ego is such a top priority that any change can be seen as catastrophic.
The Hopi Indians being one of these tribes. -

Fri, November 6, 2009 - 10:57 PMDo you know of any source that shows that the Hopi believe this about the year 2012 specifically?
